Description
- CH06SR0859
- Fill of pit under foundation trench in courtyard near junction of walls 50 and 265
- The fill was a loose brown soil with many flecks of charcoal. The dimensions at surface [definition] were 85 cm (NW-SE) X 1 M (NE-SW) and approximately 25-30 cm in depth. There was a concentration of charcoal in the top western inside edge of the pit. A paleobotanical sample was taken, but it is highly possible that the charcoal and organic remains were form bioturbation (tree?).
- Artifacts collected are exclusively from this area/pit providing relaible dating material.
Interpretation
