DefinitionLayer of yellow clay in SE part of room 38
DescriptionLayer of thick, yellow clay just above the bedrock in the bottom of cut 728. The layer was found around the drain and in a small depression just contiguous with it. There was very little debris here, save for a few pieces of ceramic and bone.

Interpretation

- Interpretation This layer appears to be erroded bedrock-style clay just above the bedrock. The layer is found also beneath the large paving stones but it is unclear if this is a natural occurance or clay placed there for the construction of the drain.
