Description
- Coin?
- Ellipsoidal in plan; flat profile with rounded edge. Heavily corroded and encrusted. There appears to be a raised stud-like element in the center of one face. Edge profile reveals three layered elements. The central one is a plane with parallel rectilinear edges 0.3 cm thick, between 2 thinner (heavily corroded) sheets - suggests riveted plate. Recorded as "Object (rivet)", but this number was attached to a coin studied by the numismatist. Unclear if this item was recognized as a coin when it was cleaned up, or if there is a mistake in the numbering.
