L'US e' caratterizzata da una superficie molto irregolare e da uno spessore poco uniforme, ma generalmente consistente. Il margine di definizione con l'US sottostanet e' abbastanza netto. Lo strato presenta blocchi calcarei, interpretabili come materiale lapideo da costruzione, prevalentemente di grandi dimensioni e di forma poco regolare. L'US presenta anche in superficie numerosi frammenti di laterizi, ossa animali e ceramica (anfore, acroma, invetriate). (vd. Schizzo scheda)
